Stericycle Shortlisted at HSJ Awards 2019

Following on from Stericycle’s success at the HSJ Partnership Awards earlier this year, we are delighted to announce we have been shortlisted in the HSJ Awards 2019. The HSJ Awards have been running for 39 years and celebrate healthcare excellence in the NHS and the wider health sector. Stericycle has been shortlisted in the HSJ Partnership Award category at this prestigious event.

At the HSJ Partnership Awards earlier this year, Stericycle won an HSJ Clinical Support Service award for its work delivering the Bio Systems sharps management service at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. The award was given in recognition of providers and commissioners of clinical support services in the NHS which have improved efficiency, quality and value through service redesign or innovation. As a result of this previous award win, Stericycle has automatically been put through as a finalist at the HSJ Awards.

The HSJ Awards Partnership Award looks to recognise, celebrate and create a platform for the best products and services being used by the NHS. It is judged on ambition, outcomes, spread, value and stakeholder involvement. Stericycle will present its joint project with Salford Royal NHS Foundation trust to a panel of Judges in September.

Our Bio Systems sharps management service at Salford Royal Foundation Trust is a truly award-winning method of sustainable, safe and cost-effective waste management service. Alongside the HSJ Partnership Award, Bio Systems also won Best use of design and technology in a waste management facility category at the 2019 Let’s Recycle 2019 Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management.
